In 1936 Fujifilm started in medical technology with the introduction of the x-ray film.
Since 1971 Fujifilm produces flexible glass fiber endoscopes and started with the development of video endoscopes in 1984. With the double balloon endoscopes it is possible for the first time to examine and treat the entire small intestine, that was in 2003. To this day, this method -developed by Fujifilm- is the gold standard worldwide.

In 2010 Fujifilm put the video processor EPX 4450HD on the market, the first time with DICOM interface. Already three years later Fujifilm introduces the first endoscopes with CMOS-technology, a milestone for clinical diagnostics.

Since September 2016 Fujifilm introduces the new ELUXEO 700 series endoscopes with Blue Light Imaging and 4-LED Multi Light technology.

The focus at Fujifilm is firmly on holistic patient care.
