Gastrointest Endosc 2019 Dec 10.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recent controlled trials comparing Endocuff Vision (EV) to cap-assisted colonoscopy (CAC) have had mixed results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the first randomized tandem study to compare EV to CAC, 154 patients were studied. Colonoscopies were performed by 3 senior GI fellows, each of whom had previously performed more than 1500 colonoscopies. First-pass ADR (53% vs 26%) and second-pass ADR (29% vs 9%) were higher with EV compared to CAC. The overall adenoma miss rate was lower with EV (6% vs 19%). Mean adenomas per colonoscopy detected was 1.5 with EV versus 0.6 with CAC. Advanced adenoma detection was also higher with EV (21% vs 4%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\" style=\"border-color:#bd6fb7\"><blockquote><p> COMMENT<br> These results strongly favor Endocuff over cap-assisted colonoscopy.
