In this study, 279 polyps \u22643 mm were randomized to cold snare polypectomy (CSP) versus cold forceps polypectomy (CFP).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A dedicated 9-mm cold snare was used for CSP, and large-capacity forceps were used for CFP. Complete resection was evaluated by 2 biopsy specimens taken from the margin of each fully resected polyp. All polypectomies were performed by one of 4 experienced endoscopists.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CFP was faster than CSP (23.2 vs 42.3 seconds;&nbsp;<em>P<\/em>&lt;.001). Piecemeal removal of polyps was performed more often with CFP than CSP (15.6% vs 3.6%;&nbsp;<em>P<\/em>&lt;.001).
