In a randomized tandem study of 230 patients, the adenoma miss rate (AMR) was lower at 15.5% when colonoscopy with artificial intelligence (AI) was performed first versus 32.4% with standard colonoscopy first. Compared with standard colonoscopy, AI-first produced lower AMR for adenomas \u22645 mm (15.9% vs 35.8%) and flat lesions (16.8% vs 45.8%), and it reduced AMR in both the proximal and distal colons.
