Multivariate analysis showed female fellows performed fewer total EGDs and colonoscopies than male fellows (1003 vs 1027; relative risk [RR], 0.94), Northeastern programs had greater procedure volumes than programs in other U.S. regions (RR, 1.31), and academic programs had lower volumes than private programs (RR, 0.54).
